Get twice the use out of our runners!

Our runners have been selling really well lately!  I love shopping for the material and always look for unique material with a lot of color.  Then I combine the materials for a reversible runner that does double duty!

I just love the depth of colors of the autumn leaves against the black background of this runner which is great for fall and your Thanksgiving table.

The reverse side has shades of red with gold metallic scrolled leaves with a shimmery effect. This could work nicely on your Christmas table (minus the pumpkin of course)!

This is one of our newest additions to the shop!  This metallic linen runner would look great with candles on your Thanksgiving table! 

Or, flip it over for a lovely Christmas centerpiece! Just love the texture!

Squirrels!

There is a little joke in my family about how much my husband loves squirrels. It started off when I asked him to trap and relocate the squirrels invading our garden, rather than other methods of removal. He wound up getting (and wearing!) an FBI most wanted list of squirrels, and other squirrel gifts over the years.

So when Anne found this squirrel print fabric, she knew she just had to get it!

There must be other squirrel lovers out there, so now you too can own a squirrel printed table runner. And if you're not into squirrels all the time, it reverses to some seasonal orange oak leaves.

Quick & Easy Fall Table Decor

Switching out your table decor for fall can be quick and easy. Here are two simple options.

Buy a few real or faux mini pumpkins (around $1 each) and combine them with a bowl of treats like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Although it's unlikely any will be left by the time Halloween rolls around, they will serve as functional decor!

Use a bouquet of real or fake sunflowers to decorate your table. I paired mine with one of my favorite candle scents, ginger peach.

Fall Home Decor in the Best Bet Design Shop

As summer cools down into fall, you may find yourself wanting to refresh your home decor to match. We recently stocked the shop with some new fall table runners. Many of them are reversible, so you'll get two autumn looks in one piece.

Marsala and Mustard Floral Prints for Fall Home Decor

It all started with a custom order. We made an odd sized table runner and a table cloth for a customer because she loved this mustard and marsala floral print on a cream background.

We've continued to sell lots of table runners and pillow covers in the print. Anne picked up a few more yards of the fabric last week. It is great for fall, with the reds and yellows, but the floral helps keep a summer touch.

Blue Ikat Prints on Table Runners and Pillow Covers

Ikat is a dying process that results in a blurry pattern. It's found throughout the world, but especially in Asia and India. Ikat has been very popular this year, found everywhere from chairs by Ballard Design to clothing. You can read more about it on Wikipedia.

The blue ikat fabric we use is called Bali Yacht and these table runners have sold out time and time again. I can see why; it's a beautiful blend of blues!

Mums & Asters Floral Printed Table Runner for Fall

It's still technically summer and Labor Day has yet to come, but when the calendar turns to September we usually start thinking about fall.

This mums and asters printed fabric on a brown background is a great way to transition to the new season. The florals are a nice reminder of summer, but the tones are definitely autumnal hues.

This particular runner is reversible with a subtle floral print on the back.

Table Linens Photo Shoot - Outdoor Dining at a Farmhouse

Part of being an Etsy seller includes photographing the items that you make. We usually take pictures of our table linens on our own tables, but since it's summertime, I thought it would be fun to do an outdoor shoot.

We set up a table in two locations outside. One is in front of a large perennial flower garden. The other is in front of a rustic split rail fence with roses spilling over. Both were very pretty! If it weren't for the bugs this time of year, I'd be tempted to dine outside every night.

What do you think of our setup? And tell us, how elaborate are you when you dine outside? I used real crystal glassware for the photos but I'd probably prefer to take plastic outside if this were for real!

New! Fourth of July Picnic Table Runners for Patriotic Celebrations

It's that time of year when we spend a lot of time eating outside at our picnic table. Yes, you can buy basic picnic table covers for $1, but they are kind of bland. So we came up with the idea of table runners you can pair with basic table cloths to spice up your table.

The first picnic table runners we decided to make were inspired by the 4th of July. Red, white, and blue, they feature prints with fireworks and streamers. These runners would also work for Memorial Day or any time you want to be a little bit patriotic.

These runners are shown on a 6-foot long picnic table. The length of each runner is 96-inches, or 8-feet, so they'd work on longer tables, too. There wouldn't be any overhang on an 8-foot table. 

It also looks pretty cool to use two runners, leaving white space down the middle for your food and serving pieces. The runners are 13-inches wide.

This weekend we did an outdoor photo shoot (spoiler alert - more info coming soon!) featuring some of the table linens from the Best Bet Design shop on Etsy. It was fun to play with our patriotic picnic table runners on a table for two set in the flower garden.
